New Years Eve
Our New Years Eve was without a doubt one of our most fun days in a while! We decided to be a tourist for once in this city, because, who knows, we may have to move sometime soon. We hit the "International Spy Museum", where I was afraid of getting stopped by a stranger and having to remember my fake identity you receive upon entering the museum. Having to pretend something with a stranger was my worst nightmare to say the least. Over all it was a really cool museum and highly recommend it to all who visit.
After the museum we hopped into this little Irish pub for some lunch. After sitting there for a few minutes memories of Vienna and "The Barrel" came rushing back, and for a minute I forgot I was in DC. It's one of our new favorite spots in the city.
Post lunch was another museum, only we went to one of the FREE Smithsonian ones this time. It had a really cool atrium, but about 30 minutes into the museum, we were museumed-out.
(this by the way is made entirely of kitchen foil, as in what you use to wrap your sandwich in!!)
We decided to head toward the National Mall to take a gander at the city Christmas lights that were still up. This is the national tree with all the trains running around it and what not.
It was a pretty cold night so we decided to head over to E Street for a movie. This is a movie theatre that only plays independent films here in the city. We decided to see Juno, which has become one of our new favorites!
On our way home, by way of metro, we saw all of the party people out and about. So, we decided not to head home just yet.
We stopped off for some dinner around 9 at our favorite little place down the street from us. There was a HUGE New Years party going on in the basement of this place and we thought about crashing but decided to head home just in time to count down with Ryan Seacrest and gang!
Our day wasn't anything too terribly exciting, but it was just a day out in the life of DC. Happy New Year!!!

I've never been to DC, but we're planning to come in the next year or so. Just so you know, I may be crashing at your pad!;)
Sounds like a VERY busy day. Makes me tired just thinking about it all.
I've been wanting to see Juno, but that just doesn't seem to top Jeremy's list.
