The Annual Fall Festival

Okay, so this last Saturday was our church's Fall Festival. We had a chili cook-off, pie contest and even a papusa contest. All was amazingly wonderful! I ate my weight in pie!
Grandma's pecan pie won! I was so proud! I'm not talented enough to do anything different, but I know my grandma would be so proud. Actually, she would probably say "I've made better." or something silly like that.
Since it was raining and 40 degrees outside, we did the whole festival inside. It was still a HUGE success.
Anyway, there was a professional face painter and all of the kids got a princess face, or a monster face, or a pretty flower around their eye. It was adorable. Well, me being insanely pregnant, the lady really wanted to paint my belly. And this is a testament to the fact that I have a hard time saying "no", I allowed her to give my daughter her first Halloween costume. She was a pumpkin. :)
Now when she started, there was no one around, so I felt it safe to proceed with caution. The next thing I know, half the church is gathering around with cameras and camera phones, as though I were the naked girl in the window of the red light district. I think I had become a car crash and no one could turn their head. Sad, but true.
Anyway, here is the damage....

There are better pictures that I will post later today. Anyway... this was my Saturday.

Thelma and Louise

My mom and Cheryl came in mid september to get Matt and I all settled into our new place. In a matter of 7 days they managed to put our ENTIRE house together. Pictures are out and up on the walls, fall decorations are up, baby clothes are washed and hung.
The baby's room is almost ready...

I will take some pictures of the house soon and post them too.

Happy fall!

Moving in day

Our moving day...
After two weeks of packing, which in case your wondering, it is now the end of Aug. We are just a few days away from our 2 year anniversary. We thought we would be nice and buy each other a house, so we rented a movie and hung out in our new house on our anniversary. It was perfect!

Now, back to moving in to this house. We moved out of our storage unit and we moved out of our condo. We had several people from church come help us. We had about 20ish people in all come over and help us move in, and what a blessing they all were. A group of women helped me put the kitchen together. The men moved everything else. Well, not quite everything. Our box springs didn't fit. After several attempts, to the garage they went.

What happened next

Well, I got back from our family vacation and moved out of our church office. At the end of July I headed back to Oklahoma to hang out with my family and friends a little more before the bambino gets here.
I spent the first part of the week with my parents and family in FTG. It was 4 days of laying around by the pool with family. It's a tough life but someone has to do it. My "home" church threw a shower for me and I began to feel so overwhelmed by the love of other people. I'm not one that likes to really be "showered" upon for some reason, so when people show their kindness in anyway, I actually lose my words. I, of course, left my camera back in DC, but you know what my family looks like.
Mid week I headed to OKC to see all of my girls. I have to tell you, it was such a breath of fresh air to see all of them. We all hadn't been together since Matt and I's wedding. Lynn came down from WY, Morg came from OH, Tams came from TX and we met up with everyone else in OKC. We had so much fun!! I'm sure since this is so late you have already caught up on all of the ongoings from everyone else's blog. They threw me a surprise shower, which honestly a surprise, contrary to what they all say. I was even more surprised when I saw my mom, Sara and Hope there. Again, I was just overwhelmed by joy and love for those who really are so close to my heart.
The day I had to fly out, Mandy and I did a few 26 week photos. She is such an amazing photographer, I couldn't imagine anyone else capturing this moment any better than her.

There are more, but there is so much more to cover...

So I got back to DC and 5 days later we signed on our house. We were a home owner!

I couldn't believe it! What a scary feeling! Since we had more time left on our lease at the the condo, we took two weeks to pack and move. So, to recap, I am now working my new part time job from home/Barnes & Nobel, working my MaryKay business, packing/moving and still growing new body parts in my belly everyday.

22 weeks... A long time ago...

In Branson I hit the midway point of this pregnancy. This is Matt and I at the Dixie Stampede, along with mom and dad and their grandkids. I tried to stick my belly in the picture, but it was just awkward for everyone.

The Perry Family Vacay

After I quit RC, Matt and I met up with my side of the family in none other than BRANSON, MO! I know! I KNOW! Calm yourself. It truly was one of the most fun vacations we have had since, well, Disney...or our honeymoon...or even our anniversary trip. Needless to say, it had been about a year since we had been on vacation.
I introduced Matt to Silver Dollar City, Dixie Stampede, and even The Presley's. He is fully cultured now. We seriously had so much fun! He played golf with the boys while I got my pool time in, and of course my girl time with my mom, neices and sisters-in-law. I think they have better pictures thaan I have, but I have put a few here for your looking enjoyment.

The boys at 4th of July watching the fireworks

Hannah and David just before they took the plunge of victory

The Presley's

Darren, Tif taking Noah and Holli for a little spin around the track. Again, I couldn't participate thanks to baby.

Matt and I at the Presley's

Everyone riding rollercoasters except me. Thanks, baby!

Sittin' in the car

Dad and I ready to watch the fireworks in 3D. Too bad I'm blind in one eye...

Matt and I still waiting on those fireworks and I don't mean between the two of us.

I have a million more pictures, but I will spare you the details. We had so much fun just being together. I miss my family very much and tend to find myself homesick more often than not, but I guess that is part of growing up and figuring out life on your own...right?

I quit my job

Okay...so, in attempting to pick up where I left off after we bought a house. I quit my job at Roll Call after a good solid 3+ years. It was time. I am now doing Mary Kay full time and working part time for our church as the "office administrator". (whatever that means)
I had three days of training then it was off for the Perry vacation! As of today, I am enjoying life and what I do. It's been good.

As you can tell in the pics, this was back in June as I am no where near as big bellied as I am now.

It's been too long....

I know! I KNOW! It's been an entire trimester since you last heard from me. AND SO SO MUCH has happened. It will take several posts to catch you up, but we will start with where I am now.
I am 34 1/2 weeks pregnant. Nov 11 is barreling toward me.
We are all moved in to our house and the baby's room is almost ready for her to come home and enjoy.
It has been quite the journey, these last few months. I know there will be more to come, but I'm glad to be settled and ready for our new little girl to come and join us. Although, I say that now, but when I sit down and seriously think about the idea of being a parent, I almost wish I could run the other way. It's a little late, and I would be a coward to run from fear, so I sit anxiously waiting for our little bambino with a pluthera of emotions. I watch her move and feel her hicup and wonder what she is doing, what will she be like, what will she look like, will she be funny, will she have a great laugh, will she like me, etc?

So, here I am at 34 1/2 weeks. Waiting on her to arrive...
